AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy and Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy have been allowed by the CBI special court in Hyderabad to travel abroad.

The CBI Court allowed Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and MP Vijaya Sai Reddy to go abroad separately. Jagan recently filed a petition in the CBI court seeking permission to go to UK to see his daughters.

Jagan Mohan Reddy requested permission to visit UK from 2nd to 12th September. Jagan Mohan Reddy requested the CBI court that he will go to UK with his wife Bharthi to meet his daughters.

It is stated that the Union Ministry of External Affairs has also been requested for the political clearance of the Central Government for the foreign visit. Jagan requested the CBI court that he would abide by any conditions imposed. On the other hand, CBI argued that CM Jagan should not be allowed to visit UK.

The CBI said that Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is facing serious financial charges, should not ask the court’s permission as a matter of right. The CBI said that Jagan had taken permission to go to many parts of the world for various reasons in eight years. The CBI court brought to the notice that the Supreme Court had previously mentioned that financial crimes against Jagan Mohan Reddy should be taken seriously.

CBI said that the cases against Jagan are sensitive and high profile cases. After arguments from both sides, the CBI court allowed Jagan’s foreign tour. The judge ordered to submit the phone number, e-mail and travel details to the court and the CBI.
