Narendra Modi government has given good news to Telangana and granted the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT) to the state. The state government has requested to set up IIHT in Telangana. In this context, the central government has sanctioned IIHT. Many courses will be made available to students of Telangana through IIHT. Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said that the Telangana textile industry would reach an international level with IIHT.
The establishment of the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology in Telangana will now facilitate students to obtain technical degrees and diplomas without having to study in other states.
Handlooms Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao had appealed to union Textiles Secretary Rachana Shah, to sanction an IIHT to Telangana.
Nageswara Rao said the State government’s T-Tap Policy was attracting the national and international industries into Telangana state.
