There is a lot of discussion about TDP-BJP alliance – next year’s assembly and general elections in AP. Recently Pawan Kalyan participated in the NDA meeting during his Delhi tour and after that he had intense discussions with the BJP leaders on the same issue. But more than all these two things seem to be the reason why TDP’s alliance with BJP is not progressing.
Currently in AP, minority, SC and ST vote banks are strongly supporting YCP. At the same time, the BCs, who had previously supported the TDP, were also almost alienated. Whether they will return to TDP in next year’s elections or not is not certain. At the same time, the cops who are supporting Pawan Kalyan are not in harmony with the BCs and SCs. With this, there are situations where if one is included, the other will be against it. At a time like this, Chandrababu Naidu is not in a position to alienate even the Muslims who are supporting him at all costs by making an alliance with the BJP.
It is not possible to stay away like Jagan and support NDA. In fact, the BJP is preparing to bring the Common Civil Code Bill, which is strongly opposed by Muslims, in this Parliament session. YCP and TDP are among those who are wrong not to support this. So Chandrababu is not in a position to immediately team up with the BJP and alienate the Muslims. That is why the TDP-BJP alliance seems to be delayed.
On the other hand, BJP’s top leader Amit Shah, who is the key to alliances, recently met with Chandrababu Babu after a gap of four years. But it seems that he is grooming Chandrababu with the aim of getting TDP support in Telangana. But when it comes to AP, depending on the circumstances, they want to move ahead with TDP.
Because whether YCP wins or TDP wins in AP, ultimately the NDA will be supported at the center. As there is still a lot of time for the elections in AP, the BJP hopes to take a decision on the alliance after the Telangana elections.
