TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, who was arrested in the skill development case, was shifted to Rajahmundry Central Jail at 1.16 on Sunday night. Chandrababu Naidu was shifted to Sneha Block in Rajahmundry Central Jail. Chandrababu Naidu was assigned prisoner (Khaidi) number 7691 in the Central Jail. The hydra that started late on Friday night ended after 48 hours of suspense. Chandrababu was moved to Rajahmundry by the order of ACB special court.
Chandrababu’s lawyers filed two separate petitions immediately after the judicial remand was imposed. Chandrababu requested to keep him under house arrest due to his age. The court dismissed the petition. Chandrababu has been ordered to provide special facilities in jail. Lokesh met Chandrababu after he was admitted to Rajahmundry Jail. After handing over Chandrababu to the prison staff, the NSG staff turned back.
Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by the AP CID in Nandyala of Kurnool district after midnight on Friday in a case registered on allegations of misappropriation of funds in the skill development case. After two long days of suspense, Chandrababu was taken to the Central Jail after midnight on Sunday. On the other hand, after Chandrababu was taken to jail, security was tightened in Rajahmundry.
Section 30 is being implemented in Rajahmundry. Security was arranged with around 300 people. Police officials have issued orders to tighten security throughout the state to prevent any untoward incident. It has been announced that rallies and protests will not be allowed across the state. On the other hand, TDP has called for a bandh across the state on Monday. The petition filed by the CID seeking custody of Chandrababu will come up for hearing today. Chandrababu’s lawyers have filed bail petitions.
