TDP President Chandrababu Naidu made key announcements in Rajahmundry Mahanadu organized by TDP a year before the general elections. He explained what he will do to the people if he wins the next election. They also include direct money transfer schemes.

YCP government has been implementing various welfare schemes in AP for four years. Even though the financial situation of the state is poor, the schemes are not being stopped. Government is giving priority to direct cash transfer schemes. The Jagan government says that they are providing some form of government schemes to about 87 percent of the state’s population.

CM Jagan has repeatedly said that nearly Rs.2 lakh crore rupees have been directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries in four years for the welfare schemes, and if indirect transfer schemes are added, it will reach three lakh crore rupees.

On the other hand, the opposition parties often express concern about the financial situation of Andhra Pradesh.  Criticism that the Chief Minister always goes to Delhi is for debt. 

Chandrababu Naidu announced schemes like free travel for women in RTC buses, 3 gas cylinders per family every year, 20 lakh jobs for youth in five years, Rs 3 thousand per month for unemployed youth, Rs.20 thousand per year for farmers, special law for the protection of BCs. It was announced that a plan is being prepared to turn the poor into rich.

Besides women, youth and farmers, six programs have been announced namely Mahashakti, Yuvagalam, Annadata, Protection Act for BC, Fresh water for every house and Poor to Rich to benefit the disadvantaged groups.

Chandrababu announced that every farmer will be given financial assistance of Rs 20 thousand per year under the Annadata scheme. he will give Rs. 20 thousand per year to each farmer. They will provide affordable prices for the crops.

Chandrababu said in Mahanadu that his intention is to make the poor to rich and for that he will implement the ‘Poor to Rich’ programme. He said that TDP will take the responsibility of making everyone rich without the poor in the state. 

 On the otherside, in four years, the burden of debt in Andhra Pradesh has also increased significantly. AP’s debts have reached more than six lakh crores.
