TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu complained to AP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, claiming that the state (Congress) government is targeting TDP leaders and their families to financially weaken them, adding that APSDRI has been formed deliberately only for this purpose.
In a letter to the Governor, Naidu said the APSDRI has been formed only to target TDP activists and leaders, both financially and politically.
Naidu mentioned in the letter: APSDRI has become a weapon in the hands of the ruling YSRCP to harass TDP workers.The APSDRI has been going on a rampage by imposing the fines, making arrests besides undertaking sudden arrests and searches at the houses of Telugu Desam Party leaders only to harass them.
Naidu wrote in letter: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy govt had started targeting TDP leaders through the AP State Directorate of Revenue Intelligence to weaken them financially and politically.
Chandrababu Naidu accused APSDRI officials of acting at behest of ruling party instead of upholding the law.
