Everyone is aware that recently the central government announced Padma Vibhushan to Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi. According to the latest buzz in the political circle, the BJP is planning to send Chiranjeevi to Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.
While Rajya Sabha elections will be held in 15 states soon, 10 Rajya Sabha seats are vacant in Uttar Pradesh alone. Chiranjeevi is likely to be offered a Rajya Sabha ticket by the BJP for the upcoming elections to be held on 27th February.
BJP leaders are giving immense priority to Megastar Chiranjeevi’s family like never before. The reports are coming that Center is planning to give Chiranjeevi a ministerial post in the NDA government that will be formed after the general elections.
Megastar was a Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh between 2012-2018 and served as a minister of culture and tourism in Manmohan Singh’s cabinet between 2012-2014.
It is known that Chiranjeevi had previously formed the Praja Rajyam Party, won a few seats in AP, and then merged his party with the Congress. Chiru served as Union Tourism Minister during the UPA regime. He was away from films for 10 years due to his involvement in politics, and made a re-entry with Khiladi no 150. He was last seen playing the lead role in Bholsa Shankar. Now whether he will go into politics once again has become a topic of discussion.
