 CID officials have requested the court to extend the judicial remand of Telugu Desam leader and former AP Chief Minister Chandrababu. In this regard, a memo was filed in the ACB court on Thursday. As Chandrababu’s remand period ends on Thursday (today), the CID officials are once again seeking an extension. On the other hand, since the remand period has expired, Chandrababu was supposed to be produced in the ACB court today. It is reported that the authorities are making arrangements to produce him virtually.

Chandrababu Naidu, who is a remand prisoner in Rajahmundry jail in a skill development case, has already filed a petition for bail. The hearing on this petition was held on Wednesday. Supreme Court lawyer Pramod Kumar Dubey on behalf of Chandrababu and Additional AG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy on behalf of CID heard arguments.

On the otherside, his lawyer Pramod Kumar Dubey said that TDP chief Chandrababu had nothing to do with the skill development case and the case was filed by the political party itself. He presented his arguments on behalf of the TDP leader in the ACB court. Two years after the registration of this case, he was implicated in the case for political reasons. The court was told that other firms had entered into an agreement with the Design Tech firm. He said that Chandrababu only sanctioned funds in his capacity as Chief Minister. According to the agreement, 40 skill development centers have been established, what is Chandrababu’s role in this? Said. As Chandrababu has nothing to do with this case, they asked him to grant bail. The hearing on Chandrababu’s bail petition was adjourned till after the lunch break.
