Visakhapatnam Joint Collector KS Viswanathan said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will attend the ICID program to be held under the aegis of Indian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (INCID). Representatives from 90 countries will attend this international event. About 300 representatives from these countries will discuss important issues related to irrigation and water resources conservation.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate the 25th Congress of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) and the 75th International Executive Council of ICID to be held in Visakhapatnam from November 2 to 8. This program is happening in India after six decades. On Saturday, Joint Collector KS Viswanathan reviewed the arrangements for the high-profile event in Visakhapatnam with the higher officials. He said that the Chief Minister will attend the program under the auspices of the Indian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (INCID).

Representatives from 90 countries will attend this international event. About 300 representatives from these countries will discuss important issues related to irrigation and water resources conservation. The Joint Collector said that the delegation will be taken to Araku and Tatipudi reservoirs as part of the study tour. The ICID Congress is a major triennial event to discuss and develop solutions to current global issues in the field. Due to the initiative taken by INCID and the support of the state government, the ICID International Congress is being held in India after about six decades, the concerned circles said.
