CM Jagan has launched the distribution of new smart cards in the wake of increasing the cost limit of YSR Aarogyasri treatment to Rs 25 lakhs in AP.
Cabinet has approved the decision to increase the cost limit of treatment under YSR Aarogyasri to Rs 25 lakh in Andhra Pradesh. Along with the distribution of better smart Aarogyasri cards to the patients, the Arogyasri app, which acts as a compass for the beneficiaries, has been made available on the Play Store.
The program will be formally launched from the CM’s camp office in Tadepalli today to explain all the doubts like how to get free medical treatment, where to go, how to get Arogyasri services and who to ask in detail in every household.
Already treatment for diseases like cancer is being provided free of cost. ANMs, Community Health Officers, Asha workers, volunteers, women police, MLAs and other public representatives will conduct a campaign to ensure that at least one person in every household downloads the Arogyasri app along with door-to-door distribution of Arogyasri cards with new features.
1.48 crore families and 4.52 crore beneficiaries across the state will be widely aware of Aarogyasri services. The smart cards distributed to the beneficiaries will have ABHA ID with QR code, photograph of the beneficiary, name of the household owner, phone number, details of the family members and health details of the beneficiary embedded in the electronic health record.
