As the assembly elections are approaching, the Chief Minister has finalized the Governor Quota MLCs in Telangana. With Telangana assembly elections approaching, Chief Minister KCR has decided to finalize Kurra Satyanarayana and Dasoju Shravan as Governor Quota MLCs. KCR seems to have selected them keeping in mind the social mobilizations and the upcoming assembly elections.

The exercise on the selection of MLC candidates has finally come to an end. Aspirants are trying to get a place in the vacant MLC seats in the month of May. In this background, CM KCR has finalized the names of MLC candidates. After almost two months of exercise, the Council of Ministers has selected the candidates for the two vacant nominated posts in the Governor’s quota. KCR approved the names of former MLA Kurra Satyanarayana and BRS leader Dasoju Shravan. This decision was taken after extensive discussions under the leadership of CM KCR. The tenure of two MLC positions in Telangana ended at the end of May.

As this year is happening before the Telangana Legislative Assembly elections, the selection of candidates has been decided from all angles.  Kurra Satyanarayana and Dasoju Shravan who belong to ST and BC social groups have been selected.

Satyanarayana, a senior leader, joined the BRS out of dissatisfaction with the BJP.  Dasoju Shravan from Ellareddyguden of Narkatpally mandal played a vital role in the Telangana movement.
