The Congress Party is alleging rigging in the elections held in Patabasti on November 30. The Congress party leaders are saying that the MIM party has cast bogus votes. The Congress leaders have complained to the Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj that the counting process should be done only after checking the CCTV cameras.

Congress leaders said that rigging was done especially in Chandrayanagutta, Charminar and Bahadurpura constituencies, they have all the evidence and they have taken it to the attention of the Election Commission. Election Officer Vikas Raju has asked to conduct the counting in the old town after examining all the evidence.

In their complaint, Congress leaders stated that MIM leaders and activists attacked their party workers in Old Basti. MIM showed its arrogance by creating a tense atmosphere on polling day. How come only MIM polling agents are present in the polling centre? Congress Party Senior Vice President Niranjan asked.

Niranjan of Telangana Congress said AIMIM workers were involved in rigging and bogus voting and created a tense atmosphere in the three Old City constituencies. He demanded that all the CCTV cameras and web cameras installed in the polling booths in Chandrayanagutta, Charminar and Bahadur Pura constituencies should be checked and action should be taken against the accused.  He requested a re-poll.
