Congress has once again made it clear that they will give special status to Andhra Pradesh if it comes to power. If the Congress comes to power, the special status will be given to AP and North Eastern states, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will be restored.
Andhra Pradesh Congress chief Gidugu Rudraraj participated in the discussion on special status. Speaking on this occasion, he said that BJP has done injustice by not giving special status to AP. He said that the Congress is bound by the promises given in the Partition Act. He said that he will fight against the privatization of Polavaram project and Visakha steel plant.
Gidugu Rudraraju also said Andhra Pradesh would become a vibrant State and get back its glory when it would be given the Special Category Status.
Meanwhile, a resolution was passed in the plenary condoling the Congress leaders who died since 2018 till now. Former Chief Minister of AP, Governor of Tamil Nadu Roshaiah, Marri Naveen Babu, Mazji Sharada, Sabbham Hari, Reddaiah Yadav, Balasubbarao and former Minister Vatti Vasantakumar who passed away recently. Also, the leaders condoled the former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy and M. Bhupesh Goud from Telangana in the plenary.
