The Congress is about to reveal the list of candidates for the upcoming elections going to be held in Uttarakhand. The screening committee has met several times over the previous week and has almost zeroed in on candidates in 45 Assembly segments out of 70 in the state.
Sarita Arya, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand will join hands with the BJP, if she doesn’t get a ticket from Nainital. She expressed this clearly onec upon a time. On the other hand, Sanjeev Arya and his father Yahpal Arya have both come back to the Congress and they are seeking a ticket from Nainital strongly. As the former state Unit head Kishor Upadhyay was seen moving around with the BJP leaders, the Congress stripped him from all his posts.
Harish Rawat, the former chief minister of the state ans senior Congress leader has also said that he was not interested on contesting the Assembly polls and in lieu of that, he would oversee election management even the commitment of party’s central election committee is final.
The officials are saying that the list of Congress candidates is almost ready, and can be disclosed at any time.
