Congress to conduct SCS meeting in Tirupati on March 1

In front of the media on Wednesday, the APCC President YS Sharmila said that the AP Congress would chair a meeting on Special Category Status (SCS) in Tirupati on March 1. During the meeting, a special category status declaration would be disclosed by the Congress candidates. To gain the special category status to the state, the Congress would dedicate itself.

The party would give the special category status in prominence if voted to power at the Centre. Sharmila claimed, “The YSRCP had held multiple protests in the state when in opposition. Also, the party initiated the resignation of MPs on demand and had even resigned to raise stress on the administration. But the party had kept the demand aside after gaining reigns.”

Now, the purpose of the meeting at Tirupati is to remind the BJP of its assurance. Sharmila said that the SCS would bring more industries to the state due to the incentives provided to them. She also said that the industries in turn would provide jobs to the youth.

Sharmila stressed that she would bring the youth back to the state if the Congress came to power, as all the youth in Andhra Pradesh were migrating to other states.
