CPM to contest 2 seats from Telangana

According to Tammineni Veerabhadram, State Secretary, the CPM has decided to contest in two of the 17 constituencies in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Veerbhadram addressed the party’s state executive committee meeting here and said the ruling Congress would have to decide whether it wanted to form an electoral alliance with the CPM. He said that there was still a possibility of his party contesting the Lok Sabha elections in the state with the Congress.

Tammineni Veerabhadram said that he would contest in two MP seats with or without alliance. Tammineni Veerabharam interacted with the media said that the Congress should decide whether there would be an alliance with the Congress in the Lok Sabha elections or not.

A Revanth Reddy welcomed CM Revanth Reddy’s statement, and said that the government would implement the assurances despite the poor financial situation in the state; Veerbhadram demanded that the government fulfil its promise to fill 2 lakh job vacancies.

CPM politburo member BV Raghavulu demanded that Revanth Reddy should fight against the BJP and issue a white paper on the injustice done to Telangana by the BJP-led central government.
