Darlings has become a global sensation on the OTT platform Netflix. The movie has received much praise ever since its release on 5th August. Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshines’ Darlings is currently trending in the top 10 in 16 countries in the Americas, Asia, and Africa. UAE, Singapore, Kenya, Malaysia, Tobago and Trinidad are among these countries. And the movie has been watched for 10M+ hours on its opening weekend, only on Netflix.
It is all about the story of a young lady Badrunisa, who ties the knot with Hamza. While Badrunisa stays a devoted wife, her husband Hamza does not leave a chance to physically abuse her. However, a brutal incident makes Badrunisa realizes her mistake of keeping quiet and she decides to seek revenge.
The movie, helmed by debutant Jasmeet K Reen, also has Vijay Varm, Shefali Shah and Roshan Matthew.
Apart from playing the female lead, Darlings is also Alia Bhatt’s debut production venture under her banner Eternal Sunshine, in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
