There is a huge craze for biopics in Tollywood. But biopics on prominent politicians are more interesting. In 2019, the movie Yatra, based on the life story of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekhar Reddy, was released which was hit at the box office. Now the movie Yatra 2 is coming as a sequel to Yatra. Mahi V Raghav has directed Yatra 2, which is being produced by Siva Meka in association with Three Atom Leaves and V Celluloid. Yatra 2 is being made based on the life of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The movie will showcase the death of YSR, Jagan’s rise as a leader and the political events that took place in AP from 2009 to 2019. There are two interesting updates.
First of all, it seems that the makers are planning a pre-release event of Yatra 2 in the US as well. Another update is that the second single from Yatra 2, Tholi Samaram will be released tomorrow on January 30 at 11 am. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for this film.
While Malayalam megastar Mammootty is playing the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Yatra 2, Tamil actor Jeeva is essaying YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The popular actor Mahesh Manjrekar is playing the role of Chandrababu Naidu in this film.
Yatra 2 will be released on February 8th, the same date on which Yatra was released.
