Election rush continues in Telangana this week. Chairpersons of various corporations in Telangana state have submitted their resignation to the Telangana Chief Secretary a day after BRS Government failed to come to power in the Telangana Assembly elections.
After the defeat, the resignations suddenly gained momentum on Monday. Devulapalli Prabhakar Rao, MD of Trans Co and Gen Co has worked in power companies for over 50 years. Since the formation of Telangana government, he has been continuing as the CMD of Trans Co and Gen Co. He tendered his resignation to Sunil Sharma, Special Principal Secretary, Energy Department on Monday. Jayandy Srinivasa Rao has been recommended to be given the in-charge responsibilities as Trans Co CMD and Director Ajay has been given the in-charge responsibilities as Gen Co CMD.
State Planning Commission Vice Chairman Boinapally Vinod is a close relative of KCR. He played a key role in the TRS government. He also submitted his resignation in the wake of the change of government. Anti-Naxals Intelligence OSD T Prabhakar Rao also resigned. Prabhakar Rao retired as IG three years ago. Even though retired, KCR appointed him as Intelligence OS. Revanth Reddy had lashed out at Prabhakar Rao in the past.
Brahmin Parishad Chairman and Government Advisor Ramanachari also resigned. Along with Ramanachari, Vanam Jwala Narasimha Rao, who was the vice-chairman of the Brahmin Parishad, also resigned.
