Enforcement Directorate (ED) once again issued notices to MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha in the Delhi liquor scam case. The notices said to come to the ED office in Delhi for interrogation on Friday or Saturday. This is the fourth time that investigating agencies have issued notices to Kavitha. On the other hand, late last year, the CBI also interrogated Kavitha at her residence in Hyderabad in connection with the liquor scam case. Recently, the issuance of ED notices has become a topic of discussion in political circles.
MLC Kavitha responded to the ED notices. She said that her legal team will respond on what to do. Moreover, it is alleged that the ED notices were sent by the political party itself. Kavitha satirized saying these are not ED notices, Modi notices. She said that notices have been sent again in the wake of elections in Telangana and people of Telangana are not taking these notices seriously. Notices are coming continuously since one year. She criticized that all this is going on like a TV serial. However, as a responsible representative of the people, we told this matter to our legal team. Kavitha said: we will proceed according to their advice.
Senior BJP leader Vijayashanthi reacted to Kavitha’s comments. Vijayashanti countered Kavitha’s comments on Twitter. Vijayashanthi refuted Kavitha’s comments that these are not ED notices, Modi notices. She said that there is no political need for BJP to arrest MLC Kavitha. Vijayashanthi said that BRS may have the fear that BJP and BRS may vote against BRS if some Kavitha who is inspired by MIM is not arrested, but the nationalist BJP does not have that mindset.
