 The symptoms of dengue start appearing within 4 to 7 days after the mosquito bite. These symptoms can vary from person to person and not all people infected with dengue virus experience the same set of symptoms. If you suspect dengue disease, consult a doctor immediately.

Fever over 101: In dengue, the  high fever starts within 4 to 7 days. The patient’ body temperature  can range from 101 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the first and main sign, which can bother continuously for 2 to 7 days.

Severe headache: Dengue infection can cause severe headache to the patient. This pain is often sharp and severe. 

Muscle and joint pain: Dengue is also called break bone fever because it causes severe pain in the muscles, bones and joints. 

Fatigue:  Fatigue, lack of energy and feeling weak are typical symptoms of dengue fever . 

 Eye Pain: According to the doctor, this pain hurts more on moving the eye and the person also has pain to see.

 Body Rash: About 2 to 5 days after the onset of fever, a rash appears on the body.  These rashes can appear as red or pink spots or patches on the skin and can also be itchy.
