AP DGP Rajendranath Reddy reacted to the Punganur attack incident. He said that an inquiry has been ordered into this incident.  The cases have been registered against 30 TDP leaders.

TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’ visit to Punganur led to severe tensions. The YCP and TDP ranks attacked with stones and sticks and the situation resembled a battlefield. Many policemen were injured in this incident. Besides the police vehicle, many private vehicles were destroyed. A war of words is going on between the ruling YCP and the opposition TDP over the entire episode. Minister Peddireddy, Chittoor District SP target Chandrababu.

DGP Rajendranath Reddy has ordered an inquiry into the Punganur incident.  The DGP said that the police were injured in the attack and the vehicles were also deliberately set on fire. He made it clear that such people have been identified and strict action will be taken against those who disturb the law and order. DGP revealed that many accused have already been identified.

 DGP Rajendranath Reddy explained that they are analyzing the CCTV footage. The police have registered a case under various sections on the Punganur incident. It seems that a case has been registered against more than 30 TDP leaders. There should be clarity on the registration of cases against the leaders of the ruling party.
