EC-  Election Commission of India has served a notice to Telangana Chief Minister KCR for his comments on the Congress at a public meeting in Banswada on 30th October.

Central Election Commission has written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister KCR asking him not to make comments that provoke people. In the Prajashirwada Sabha held at Bansuwada on October 30, CM KCR made it clear that the comments he made while talking about the attack on Kotha Prabhakar Reddy were against the rules. As a star campaigner, it is not appropriate for a person holding a responsible position to make inappropriate comments. It has warned that such comments will be taken seriously. The party reminded them that they have the power to revoke the permits of people who have made such speeches. It said that the current comments should not be taken seriously.

Congress state president Balmuri Venkat complained to the Central Election Commission that KCR had spoken provocatively in the Prajashirwada Sabha while responding to the incident of the  knife attack on Dubbaka Assembly Constituency BRS candidate Kota Prabhakar Reddy. The EC ordered an inquiry into this and the local returning officer submitted a report to the EC on 14th of this month. Based on this report, the EC issued a notice to CM KCR and advised him not to make provocative comments.
