Kadapa Police arrested two accused who attacked Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary Nara Lokesh with eggs. On the 1st of this month, two guys threw eggs at Nara Lokesh who was hiking in Proddatur of Kadapa district and they hit the security personnel. The TDP is alleging that the ruling YCP leaders are behind the egg attack. But the police revealed that there is no politics in this. They attacked Lokesh with eggs out of anger.
Kadapa ASP Prerna Kumar said that Srikanth and Babu Lokesh of Penna Nagar, Proddatur, had thrown eggs. It is known that the participants of the padayatra are given an opportunity to take a selfie by Lokesh. ASP said that friends Babu and Srikanth went to take a selfie with Lokesh. But when Lokesh did not give a selfie, the two got angry and said that they bought eggs from a shop and attacked Lokesh. ASP Prerna Kumar revealed that there was no conspiracy behind attack on Lokesh.
On the first of this month, a public meeting was held in Proddutur as part of the Lokesh Padayatra. Later, while Lokesh was continuing his padayatra on the Maidukuru road, the eggs were thrown. Alarmed by this, the security personnel formed a circle around Lokesh and took him away. However, TDP workers found one of those who had thrown the egg.
