In a political showdown in AP, state Congress chief YS Sharmila Reddy, who is the sister of YSRCP leader and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, said that she stayed at the Congress office to escape the govt’ attempt to house arrest her.
It is known that the Congress Party has called for the Chalo Secretariat program with the demand to declare Mega DSC. YS Sharmila faulted the government’s decision to fill six thousand teacher posts in the state through DSC. She demanded the government to fill 23 thousand teacher posts in the state.
Sharmila criticized that the Jagan government is afraid of her. She criticized that the Jagan government deployed hundreds of policemen without organizing the Chalo Secretariat. She reminded that Jagan criticized the filling of DSC posts in Chandrababu’s government. But, after coming to power, Jagan was also doing the same thing. She asked why the Mega DSC was not being organized even though there were conditions to organize it.
Sharmila was supposed to go to KVP Ramachandra Rao’s house, but she changed the plans so as to not get house arrested. YS Sharmila went to Andhra Ratna Bhavan, the Vijayawada Congress office stayed there for Wednesday night.
