Over the past three years, the month of February has seen huge successes in Telugu. But this year, the films did not entertain the audience as expected in this month. In the last three years, many films released in February have become super hits. Last year, films like DJ Tillu and Bheemla Nayak generated huge collections. In February 2021, however, the movie Uppena was successful. In 2020 also, Nithin delivered a super hit with the film Bheeshma. In this way, the month of February has been well received by the Telugu audience for the last three years. But this time it backfired.
All the films released in this February got flop talk. Suhas starrer writer Padmabhushan was released in the first week of February. It is remarkable that this is the first movie released in theaters from this hero who got super success with color photo. As expected, this movie brought positive talk and brought good success in Suhas’ career. Despite the positive talk from the reviews and the audience, the film received moderate collections and did not shake the box office.
Sandeep Kishan came up with Michael, which was released amid much anticipation, but it was also turned out flop. Butta Bomma also failed to impress. Except writer Padmabhushan, the rest of the films disappointed the movie lovers in the first week.
In second week, Kalyan Ram starrer Amigos was released. Kalyan Ram’ triple role in this movie also did not entertain the audience. After receiving a super hit like Bimbisara, this movie from Nandamuri hero was a disappointment at the box office. In the same week, small films like Veda, Pop Corn, Vasantha Kokila and Allanta Doorana came out but none of them got success.
In the third week, Dhanush starrer Sir/Vaathi movie was released. Being the Kollywood hero’s first Telugu film, the opening of the film was not big in the beginning, but later the collections increased due to the good talk of the film.
In the fourth week of February, all small films made noise. Small films like KonaSeema Thugs, Dead Line, Mr. King came out. But none of these could entertain the audience.
