The Telangana Assembly election war is going to start soon. Already the main parties are preparing strategies and counter strategies. They are also working on preparing the list of those who will stand and win the competition. They are also brainstorming on the issue of key positions. Taking steps towards hitting the opponent. While BRS announced 115 candidates simultaneously, Congress party is taking steps.  Former BRS Leader Tummala Nageswara Rao is also ready to wear the Congress scarf.

Former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao is ready to join Congress. Congress state affairs in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray and all the main leaders met at Thummala’ residence in Hyderabad on Friday and invited him to join the party during the CWC meetings itself. The stage was set for him to join the party in the presence of Sonia Gandhi. With his addition, there is a possibility that the strength of Congress will increase in Khammam district. But with the assurance of his ticket for Paleru, there are reports that Hastam is ready to join the party.

Tummala Nageswara Rao is a senior leader in the joint Khammam district. He left the Telugu Desam Party after the formation of the state. In the 2016 by-election, he won from Paleru and got a chance to become a minister in KCR’s cabinet. However, in the 2018 elections, Tummala Nageswara Rao contested from the Paleru Assembly seat. In this election, he was defeated by Kandala Upender Reddy who was the Congress candidate by a margin of 7 thousand votes.
