The 75-year-old leader ,  former Union Minister and RJD leader Sharad Yadav passed away on Thursday. He  was unwell for a long time and was admitted to the Fortis hospital in Gurgaon. His daughter Subhashini Sharad Yadav confirmed the news of her father demise on Twitter. Sharad Yadav  is survived by his wife, daughter and son.

Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon issued a statement and said Sharad Yadav was brought to the  emergency at the  Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram  and he was in an  unconscious and  unresponsive state.

 After the examination, Sharad Yadav did not have any pulse or recordable blood pressure. He underwent CPR as per ACLS protocols. Despite best efforts, Sharad Yadav  could not be revived, he was declared dead at 10.19 PM.

He was born on 1st July, 1947, in Babai village in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh.

Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar termed Sharad Yadav’s demise as an irreparable loss to the  Indian politics. He tweeted that condolences to his family and followers on his death. May his soul rest in peace.

 Rahul Gandhi tweeted that  he had learned a lot about politics from Sharad Yadav ji. He was deeply saddened by former Union Minister’ demise today.
