Formula-1 race scheduled to be held in Hyderabad has been cancelled. The organizers announced the cancellation of the race. They said that the race is being canceled as the state government did not respond. They said that notices will be given to the municipal department for violating the agreement regarding the race. The race is scheduled to be held on February 10.
Organizers revealed that the race was canceled due to lack of response from the state government. BRS Working President KTR reacted to the cancellation of the race and he criticized the Revanth government. He said that this is really an evil and regressive decision taken by the Congress government.
KTR said that events like Hyderabad E-Prix will increase the brand image of Hyderabad as well as the country. He said that they have worked hard and spent a lot of time to bring E-Prix to India. KCR government has worked hard to make Hyderabad an investment destination. Electric vehicles producers and start-ups have identified Hyderabad as an ideal place for investment, he said.
Formula-E co-founder and chief championship officer Alberto Longo said: “We are very disappointed. He said that there is a lot of fan base for motor sport in India. It is sad that the race has been cancelled. He said that organizing an official motor sport world championship is a matter of pride not only for Hyderabad but for the whole of India.
