Praja singer Gaddar took a sensational decision. He announced that he is entering direct politics. Moreover, he said that he is going to contest against BRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao – KCR in the next election.
Gaddar met the police in Thupran of Medak district yesterday and asked them to provide him protection. After talking to the reporters, he revealed that he is 76 years old, so from now on he wants to live in the village where he was born. Gaddar said that he has written a book titled ‘My Village of the 60 Years’ on his village. He explained that he is entering direct politics for the first time with the upcoming elections.
Gaddar went underground in the 1980s and became a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) People’s War. He was part of its cultural wing and performed in from of crowds. Gaddar has a bullet in spine as a result of a failed assassination in 1997.
After being active in the Naxal movement till 2010, later he identified himself as an Ambedkarite. He adopted the name Gaddar as a tribute to the pre-independence Gadar party which opposed British colonial rule in Punjab during 1911 .
