Good news: Free travel in Hyderabad double decker buses

HMDA has given good news to passengers and tourists. While the services of double-decker buses have been made available around Hussainsagar, it has been said that these services are being provided free of cost.

Electric double-decker buses have been running around Hussain Sagar for the past few days. However, visitors and tourists from different areas can travel in this bus for free. During the formula race held in February last year, HMDA purchased these double-decker buses.

It bought three double-decker buses at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore for each bus, but for a long time these buses were confined to the parking lot. Currently, these buses are plying around Hussain Sagar, the Secretariat, Ambedkar statue, and the memorial of the martyrs. After the installation of the memorial, the traffic of visitors towards Necklace Road has increased significantly, not only Hyderabad residents but also people from other states and countries are coming in large numbers to visit these surrounding areas. Hussain Sagar will be rotated so that all the tourist centers are covered.

Currently three buses are plying around Sagar.  After visiting Sanjeevayya Park, Thrill City, Lake Front View, Jalaveehar Park, Nira Cafe, People’s Plaza, Indira Gandhi, PV Statues, Ambedkar Statue and other places, you can go to the Secretariat. Get off the bus and walk to the Martyrs’ Memorial. Then you can go towards Tank Bund by bus. Then these double decker buses will return to Sanjeevayya Park via Tank Bund.
