MT Krishna Babu, Chief Secretary, Health Department has clarified that there are no corona deaths in Andhra Pradesh. He clarified that though the cases of Covid are gradually increasing across the country, the situation in AP is under control. He said that the cases of Covid are gradually increasing across the country and 12591 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. He said that the positivity rate was recorded as 5.32 percent and the Andhra Pradesh government was alerted by this program itself. The strict measures have been taken to control Covid. He responded to the news that three new Covid deaths have occurred in Andhra Pradesh. It has been clarified that Corona is not the cause of the three deaths recorded in Kakinada and Visakhapatnam.
Doctors confirmed that two of the deaths were due to viral pneumonia and one due to pancreatitis. He added that there are no corona deaths in AP and the number of corona tests has been increased to 5 thousand per day.
MT Krishna Babu informed that 17 thousand fever victims identified in the fever survey conducted across the state have been tested and all precautionary measures are being taken against Corona. He said that although the cases of Covid are increasing, its symptoms are mild and there is no need to worry. He said that people should not get unnecessarily scared about the new variant. People with chronic diseases are advised to take appropriate precautions.
