Padma Vibhushan Award :
India’s second highest civilian award Padma Vibhushan has been honoured to General Bipin Rawat, the country’s first chief of Defence staff who die in Helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu, and late BJP leader Kalyan Singh who served as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh at the time of Babri Masjid annihilation, has also received Padma Vibhushan Award. He occupies a distinguished spot in the saffron pantheon as he rejected to order firing on kar sevaks during the annihilation of Babri Masjid. Since 2014, he had been achieved success in polls in Uttar Pradesh.
Radheshyam Khemka, one of the leads of Gita press,the Gorakhpur-based legendary institution, which popularised Hindu religious texts, And the eminent Indian classical vocalist from Maharshtra have also received Pdma Vibhushan Award.
Padma Bhushan Award :
Padma Bhushan Award was received by Google CEO Sundarrajan Pichai, Microsoft chairman and CEO Stya Nadella, Natarajan Chandrasekharan of Tata Sons and the Varanasi born Mexican scientist Sanjay Rajaram. He developed more than 450 high-yield varieties of wheat. The Awards were presented to all these legends by the establishers of Covid-19 vaccine companies in India Cyrus Poonawalla of the Serum Institute of India and Dr Krishna Ella and Sucharita Ella of Bharat Biotech. Among these awardees, other members such as Ghulam Nabi Azad, the senior Congress leader and former Jammu & Kashmir chief minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, an inspirational person of the dissent G-23 group, and he also headed the last Left Front govt in West Bengal. The javelin thrower Devendra Jajharia has also awarded with Padma Bhushan. He won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal in three consecutive paralympics earlier.
Sonu Nigam, the playback singer in Bollywood, Veteran Tamil actor S Janaki, Sanghmitra Bandhyopadhya who was the first women vice-chancellor of Jamia Milia, Chandraprakash Dwivedi, film director and actor who played Chanakya role, Punjab folk singer Gurmeet Bawa, and others have also awarded with Padma Bhushan Award.
Padma Shri Award ;
Late Guru Prasad Mahapatra, who was industry secretary worked tirelessly to augment oxygen supply during the second wave of Covid, despite having been infected by the virus, has been received Padma Shri, Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, Shuttler Pramod Bhagat, javelin thrower Sumit Antil, and India’s first paralympic women champion in shooting Avani Lekhara, the first Indian woman player to score hat-trick in hockey Vandana Kataria, Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, the veteran footballer from Goa.The Padma Shri list, like the past few years, also holds the names Akhone Asgar Ali Basharatm Balti poet from Kargil, Himmatrao Bawaskar, who is acclaimed for his research on scorpion and snake bites globally, Jain spiritual leader and social worker from Rajgir Acharya Chandanji, and many others were awarded with Padma Shri.
Some of the medical professionals such as Narendra Prasad Mishra, Veteran Orthopedic surgeon from Vizag Sunkara Venkata Adinarayana Rao, Veera Swamy Seshaiah and Kamalakar Tripathi, veteran nephrologist from Uttar Pradesh were also honoured with Padma Shri Award.
