The way has been paved for the merger of RTC employees in the Telangana government. Governor Tamilisai approved the RTC merger bill drafted by the government. After two days of intense tension, she said OK after clarifying many issues. 

Governor Tamilisai held a meeting with Transport Department officials at Raj Bhavan today. Senior officials of RTC including Principal Secretary of Transport Department Srinivasa Raju participated in this meeting. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan asked his doubts about temporary employees working in RTC. The officials answered the points raised by the Governor. After the officials’ explanation, the Governor took a decision approving the RTC merger bill.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan recommended that the Bill be introduced in the Legislative Assembly. Governor has written a letter to the state government. 

Now the Telangana government has to introduce the bill in the assembly and pass it. Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar announced that the bill will be introduced in the House today. With this, the RTC Bill will be brought before the House for the approval of the Assembly in a little while.

Governor Tamilisai returned to Hyderabad on Sunday from Puducherry, where she holds the additional charge of Lieutenant Governor. The Governor ordered the Transport Secretary and Transport Department officials to come to Raj Bhavan this afternoon.
