Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Telangana  Chief Minister KCR expressed shock over the Nampally fire accident.  Chief Minister KCR asked  the officials to provide better treatment to the seriously injured people. 

 Governor Tamilisai suggested to the officials to provide better medical assistance to those undergoing treatment in the hospital.  A fire broke out on the ground floor of a building at Bazarghat in Nampally and spread to four floors. Nine people, including a four-day-old baby and two women, died in this incident. The fire extinguishers were brought the fire under control.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy paid a visit to the fire site and said: Telangana government is not taking action in such cases. I have asked several times to state government to shift such warehouses out of the city. I will speak to the Prime Minister Modi to get financial assistance for the families of the deceased in this incident.

TPCP Revanth Reddy also responded to this accident. He said it is sad that nine people died.  Hyderabad has become a home for fire accidents and the government is not taking preventive measures despite the frequent accidents.  

They demanded a comprehensive inquiry into the fire accident. Revanth Reddy said that the government should support the families of the deceased. Seven members of the same family died in this accident. Zakir Hussain, Nikkat Sultana, Mohammed Azam (53), Toobha (5), Rehman Rehana Sultana (50), Taruba (12), Dr. Farheen (36) and Faiza Sameen (25).   The sources say that the death toll is likely to increase.
