On one side, the Supreme court has raised all the restrictions in visiting Jammu and Kashmir, the other side senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad urged saying, half of the population in Jammu and Kashmir have reached extreme poor stage.

Jobs of daily labour was devastated which means a lot to them. They are demanding the government to provide free ration for at least six months.

Gulam Nabi Azad has spoke to media as, “One half of the population of Kashmir is linked to vocations like handicraft, the rest are shikarawalas, ponywalas and taxiwalas. Basically it is an economy which is deeply linked to tourism”. Azad further expressed his mind saying government should weave off the loan payments for at least one and half year to assist people to get out of their financial hiccups.

He further claimed that income of Jammu was completely dependent on Kashmir and due to the current restrictions, there was a fear raised and business in Jammu is zero. And as both J&K has turned out to be Union Territories, the centre has been threatening the local administration.
