State Finance and Health Minister Thanneeru Harish Rao opined that Telangana is one of the rare places in the world where greenery is also developing along with all kinds of infrastructure. He said that the increase in green cover in the state by 7.7 percent is proof of that. He said that this was possible only because of the Haritha Haram program introduced by Telangana Chief Minister KCR with vision. Haritha Utsav is being organized today as part of Telangana Avatarana Decade celebrations. On this occasion, Harish Rao revealed the results of the measures taken by the government to increase greenery after the formation of the state through Twitter.
As part of Haritahara, 14,864 nurseries and 19,472 rural nature forests have been set up in the state so far. He said that forests have been restored in a total of 13.44 lakh acres. So far 273 crore saplings have been planted. Harish Rao opined that a true environmentalist like CM KCR would think about comprehensive and sustainable development. He said that Telangana has proudly shown to the world what every government should do. The minister tweeted that Telangana will follow and the country will follow.
