The excitement continues in Amaravati. As part of the house scheme for the poor in R-5 zone, the arrangements for the foundation stone laying ceremony has been completed. On 24th of this month, CM Jagan’s arrangements for foundation stone laying in Amaravati have reached the final stage. CM Jagan, who has already distributed house plots, will come to Amaravati on 24th of this month to lay the foundation stone of the house structures there. Although this program was supposed to be held on the 8th of this month on YSR’s birthday, it was postponed to the 24th.

Arguments were made in the High Court on the same issue. The court posed several questions to the government. The government has made it clear to the court that public money will not be wasted.

Officials are making all arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit. At the same time, the High Court heard the petitions filed against the construction of houses in the R-5 zone. The court asked who will be responsible for the public money spent by the government if the final verdict is against it.

A three-judge bench of the AP High Court on Friday reserved the Judgment on the petitions filed challenging the construction of houses for the poor in R-5 zone in Amravati.

It was reported to the court that the government and CRDA have full rights over the lands collected under the land pooling scheme. The counsel on behalf of the government reminded that the previous government had allotted 1,656 acres to various private companies because the CRDA had inherited the rights of the government. They said that public money will not be wasted even if adverse judgments are given on allotment of house titles. It was reported to the court that the constructed houses will be kept. With this, it seems likely that CM Jagan’s foundation stone laying program will be held as usual on 24th.
