A brand new cycle track has been prepared for the residents of Hyderabad. HMDA has made available eco friendly solar cycle track with world class standards. Minister KTR will inaugurate this track on Sunday. Let’s see the features of this high-tech cycle track.
HMDA has constructed a solar roof top cycle track along the outer ring road. For the first time in the country, a green field solar roof top cycle track with a length of 23 km has been made available.
This ‘Solar Rooftop Cycle Track’ has been completed on the Narsingi-Gandipet route along Hyderabad Outer Ring Road.
This track was built in three lanes with a width of 4.25 meters at a cost of Rs100 crores. 8.5 km from Nanak Ranguda to Telangana Police Academy, and 14.5 km from Narsingh to Kollur.
This 23 km solar roofed track will generate 16 mega watts of electricity. There is a parking area facility for cyclists to park their bicycles. There is surveillance with secret cameras throughout the track.
Various food courts are available on this track. Drinking water is provided for visitors and cyclists. Along the track, fragrant flower plants have been arranged. Rest rooms are also available for the people, officials said.
