The High Court has issued an interim order not to take strict action on the electricity dues to be paid by Telangana to AP. After the bifurcation of the state, electricity was distributed from AP to Telangana on the orders of the central government. For this, the Center announced in the Parliament that they are trying to collect the arrears due for the electricity supplied by AP through the RBI. In this context, the Telangana government approached the High Court.

Telangana High Court on Tuesday directed the Center not to take strict action against Telangana regarding electricity dues. The Telangana government approached the High Court last year against the Center’s order to pay the electricity dues of Rs 6756.92 crore to the AP government.
