The Case was booked in Mahabubnagar Two Town police station on the direction of special court for MPs and MLAs in Hyd. Telangana Minister Srinivas Gowd along with 10 others were booked yesterday in the II Town Police Station of Mahbubnagar in the election affidavit tampering case. Chaluvagali Raghavendra Raju of Mahabubnagar had earlier filed a petition in the Nampally People’s Representatives Court in Hyderabad, alleging that Srinivas Goud was involved in affidavit tampering in the 2018 elections. The investigating court ordered the police on July 11 to register criminal cases against the minister and the 10 officials responsible and submit the investigation report by September 11. However, as the police ignored these orders, Raghavendra Raju once again approached the court.

After hearing the arguments yesterday, the court ordered to register an FIR against the minister and officials and submit the details by evening. The police registered a case against Srinivas Goud along with 10 officials as they were warned that otherwise it would be treated as a violation of the court order.
