AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy announced at the Independence Day celebrations in Vijayawada that the continuous struggle against untouchability will continue. He unfurled the national flag and received the armed forces salute.
CM Jagan said that he is continuing the fight against untouchability that has taken shape in the state. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy participated in the 77th Independence Day celebrations held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Vijayawada. CM Jagan hoisted the national flag and received the salute of the armed forces.
Along with the Chief Minister, many ministers, officials and a large number of students participated in the Independence Day celebrations. Before the unveiling of the flag, the CM walked around the entire stadium.
The Chief Minister reminded that the national flag is flying in remembrance of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He was hailed as the heart of 140 crore Indians and a proof of the freedom of Indians from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
He said that the flag is being raised for the independence that the country achieved 76 years ago on the foundations of the sacrifices of the ancestors. He said that in the journey of 76 years, the country and the state have progressed a lot. He said that there are many examples to cite, and progress has been made in agriculture, industry and service sectors over a long period of time.
He said that the village and ward secretariat system and the volunteer system have been introduced to provide whatever they need in civil services, from rations to government schemes, where they go round the offices and go door to door. No government has done this in the past.
