Corona cases are increasing day by day in the country. The spread of the Coronavirus is increasing rapidly as new sub-variants emerge. In the past 24 hours, 841 people across the country- India have tested positive for the Coronavirus. With this, the number of active cases in India has reached 4,309. Officials said that cases have been registered at this level after about 7 months. Last May 19, 845 new cases were reported in the country. After that the number of new cases gradually decreased. Recently, the authorities have detected the spread of JN.1 sub variant in the country. It is said that three people have died due to the virus.
Medical officials have identified the victims of this virus in Kerala. Most of the increasing cases are reported in Kerala state. The officials suspect that the cases may increase due to the new variant. Meanwhile, medical officials are expressing concern that there is a risk of increasing the spread of Corona during the New Year celebrations.
Three new fatalities due to Covid, one each from Karnataka, Kerala, and Bihar, have been reported in a span of 24 hours. India had recorded 865 new cases on 19th May.
The number of daily Corona cases had dropped to double digits till 5th December , but cases have again gone up after emergence of a new variant and the cold weather conditions.
