Rudhramadevi fame Gunasekhar is coming up with a mythological drama Shakuntalam. It is highly anticipated pan India film and has been making headlines. The film Shakuntalam is based on the epic tale of love from the Adi Parva of the epic Mahabharata. Recently Gunasekhar interacted with media and spoke about his upcoming project Shakuntalam.
The film maker Gunasekhar revealed that his upcoming project is based on Mahakavi Kalidas’ drama, Abhigyana Shakuntalam, and it is all about the love story of King Dushyanta and Shakuntala. The upcoming movie Shakuntalam will be set in the Himalayas. According to Gunasekhar, he did not lock the female lead and currently he is looking for a top actress who has ability to essay the role of Shakuntala.
We have already reported that Gunasekhar recently introduced his daughter Neelima Guna as the producer. He also announced that the highly anticipated love story is going to be a pan-India film.
While the music will be composed by Mani Sharma, and it will be written and directed by the National Award-winning director himself. Ever since Gunasekhar announced his project Shakuntalam, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the leading lady who will play the titular role in this film.
