Internet to become a basic right in Telangana, says Governor

It is said by the Governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararajan that the most essential source, the internet, would become a basic right in the entire state and it will be within reach to every individual, and the city will be developed as an AI city which will be dedicated to artificial intelligence on 50-100 acres of land. On addressing the legislature, Tamilisai Soundararajan said, “One of the most important upcoming strategies of this government would be to introduce the internet as a fundamental virtue.”

Progressing her words, the Governor said, “Digital adoption is taking place quickly in our society today. Telangana state not only needs to get complete advantages from digital chances but also become a leader in the country for novel technologies.” To ensure that every household, notwithstanding its economic status or location, the government will enforce a digital literacy programme.

Top global and national technology entities should be invited by the state directorate, to establish their centres in the recommended AI city, said Tamilisai. She also said that the government would reveal a fresh policy to assist the MSMEs with sophisticated technology , the capability to enlist skilled manpower, financing, market access and the prohibition of industrial affliction.

To set up ten-twelve Pharma village clusters, replace government-run industrial training institutes into advanced technology centres to address skill gaps and meet the requirements of industry 4.0 and the energy scheme to aid green energy and a tourism policy, the Governor quoted in the government manifesto.
