Indian Premier League –IPL 2020 is going to take place on 19th September. The tournament will be held in UAE, pending all government clearances. Chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed it on Friday afternoon. MS Dhoni Fans have not got to see the former India skipper play a cricket match since India’s World Cup exit last year.

The middle-east will host the tournament and will begin on 19th September and conclude on 8th November.

Ness Wadia, one of the co-owners of Kings XI Punjab, wants coronavirus testing for players and support staff in the UAE, where IPL 2020 will be held.

Caribbean Premier League is slated to end on 10th September, while England and Australia players will be engaging in a series in the UK till 15th September.

Apart from IPL teams, logistics and operations teams from  BCCI will also be heading to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to see to it that preparations are on in full swing and there is no execution woes. If UAE airlines don’t start operations then all will fall back on chartered planes.

Further details regarding the plan of departure for the  teams and the full schedule of the tournament will be chalked out at IPL Governing Council meeting next week.
