Irregularities are coming to light in the replacement of medical seats in Telangana. The decision to give the local quota in medical seats to Telangana natives has opened up some irregularities. Sensing this, the University Police has registered cases.

 The issue of fake local certificates is creating a stir in Telangana Medical Seats replacement issue. Telangana police have registered cases against seven students who got MBBS seats illegally with fake certificates. Kalologi University canceled their admissions two days ago. Some of them have already been arrested. Popes Subrahmanya Saiteja, Vanipenta Saipreetika Reddy, Tammineni Vishnuteja Reddy, Tanniru Sanjay, Arikatla Hanuman Reddy, Tekulapalli Mahesh, Gearle Bhargav Dharmateja and Yashwant Naidu of AP have been found guilty of irregularities.

Kamireddy Nageswara Rao, the manager of the consultancy, who produced false certificates, was also identified. Nageswara Rao, who runs a consultancy in Vijayawada, was found to be the mastermind of these irregularities. A case has been registered in Warangal Mattewada PS against the students along with the administrator. A case was registered on the complaint of Dr. Sandhya, registrar of Kaloji University.

For the academic year 2023-24, Kaloji University has issued a notification to apply online for filling MBBS and BDS seats. In this order, the varsity officials got suspicious about the documents submitted by the seven students who got MBBS seats and conducted an investigation. Students have submitted documents that they have studied in Telangana state from 6th to 9th standard. Seats were allotted to them in the local fort based on the President’s order.

Students have studied in Inter Andhra Pradesh along with class X. The NEET exam was also written in Vijayawada. Suspecting them, the university authorities ordered them to attend the verification directly in the university with the original documents. The students revealed that the consultancy manager had applied online on their behalf. Kamireddy Nageswara Rao said that he had uploaded the certificates on their behalf, and the university authorities, who found the certificates to be fake, filed a complaint against the students and the administrator. A case was registered against them and the manager was arrested.
