KCR is angry that the corruption of the MLAs has stained the government. It has been decided to exclude the involvement of local MLAs and leaders anywhere in the selection of beneficiaries in welfare programs. KCR verbally ordered that not only the MLAs and leaders, but also those of any rank in the party and the government should definitely set aside the recommended matter.
KCR had earlier given the responsibility of selecting the beneficiaries to the MLAs. However, the MLAs of the ruling party took advantage of this opportunity and collected Rs 3 lakh from each Dalit beneficiary, and citing some incidents, the leader expressed his anger against them. It seems that the party has come to the conclusion that it is better to take tough decisions as there is a risk of opposition among the people. CM KCR has started self-monitoring of all welfare programs for a few days. It is said that role of MLAs has been broken mainly in land regularization process.
The government will soon implement welfare schemes like distribution of land and Rs 3 lakh cash reward for the poor. Keeping in view the concerns of the eligible beneficiaries at the field level, the Telangana government has once again brought Jio number 58 and 59 to the fore from the last few months. The government is careful to avoid any political interference in this process.
