IT raids are going on for the second day in Telangana. IT searches are being conducted in 18 areas across Telangana. On Friday morning, searches are being conducted at the residence and offices of former minister Jana Reddy along with his son.
The IT searches that started on Thursday morning are continuing on Friday. On Thursday, mainly Congress leaders KLR and Badangpet Mayor Parijata’s houses were searched and on Friday, IT searches were conducted in the residences of former ministers Jana Reddy and Raghuveer.
The IT officials, divided into teams, carried out inspections in 18 areas related to Congress leaders in the city and its suburbs. IT officials are checking the house of Raghuveer Reddy, son of senior leader JanaReddy in Wipsar Valley. The search is likely to continue till evening.
Searches were conducted at the house and offices of Maheshwaram Congress candidate Kitchennagari Lakshmareddy (KLR) in Tukkuguda till midnight on Thursday. On Friday morning it was taken up again. Inspections are going on at the house in Narsingh as well as the KLR headquarters in Madapur.
IT searches continued till midnight at Badung Pet Mayor Parijata’s house. When the IT raids began on Thursday morning, her husband Narasimha Reddy was in Delhi in Tirupati. They were taken into custody and taken to Hyderabad.
The officials seized the key documents from Parijata’s residence and issued a notice to appear before them on the 6th. On the other hand, the income tax department also continued to search the houses of senior Congress leader Komatireddy Venkatareddy’s close relatives.
