During the time of election campaign, Chandra Babu Naidu said that he has worked a lot for the development of Andhra Pradesh and he is the one who is responsible for bringing the Kia Motors to invest in Andhra Pradesh state. But, on the Monday assembly meet, the ruling party debated on Chandrababu’s expenses that he had during the international trips. On speaking to this Chandra Babu lashed out the ruling party saying it’s not just CM but PM also toured all over the world.

He further said that his government had signed MOUs with many national and international companies which would worth Rs 16 Lakh crore. CBN assumes that because of this, 32 lakh people would be benefited. Chandra Babu also took the point that he has brought the Kia Motors in AP and hence, the current government should focus on development rather than his tour costs. Upon this, Finance Minister Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy said, “We don’t hear about Karnataka or Maharashtra CM’s foreign tours. We did a lot about AP CM’s trips in the last five years.”

Finance Minister further added, he wants to bring to the notice of assembly that  “We received a letter from Kia Motors President and CEO Han-Woo Park dated June 13th, 2019. The Kia Motors boss congratulated YS Jagan on his victory in elections and then recalled his association with YSR back in 2007 when Han-Woo Park was leading the Hyundai Motors R&D in Hyderabad. YSR requested Han-Woo Park to invest in an automobile manufacturing unit in AP and the latter gave his word. The long-standing relationship between YSR and Han-Woo played an important role in locating its first plant in AP,”

This clearly explains, Chandra Babu is nowhere responsible for Kia Motors in AP. But, he has used the Kia Motors name during the elections campaigning time for the publicity.
